I have many cages for him (play, outside, bedtime), I’m working on the mush diet, I’m working on getting all new cookware (atm I got rid of airfryer and all teflon ages ago and now I’m just looking to upgrade everything to nonstick) I put him outside or in another room if it’s chilly with ventilation while cooking. Is there a time limit for how long fumes linger? I’m just nervous about everything 😅

I got rid of candles and I have hairspray all contained in one room upstairs. He’s a downstairs boy but I did have him shower with me. Are there safe shampoos I can use (for myself) or what do seasoned parrot owners do?

I’m also so nervous about a wedding/week trip I have coming up in about a month. I have a care taker in mind but any tips/pointers are welcome. I was going to have them come meet him a few times before hand.

Also, I don’t like the idea of putting a band on him but do they chip birds? Haha my next step after trust is established, is going to a vet. I know it should have been first but we are only 4 days in and I want to make sure he knows I’m safe before traumatizing him.

I’m so nervous but I know this is my perfect bird. He already gives me kisses. I’m also worried because he’s only 8mo and hormones can change my bird? I will always follow his lead but I don’t want him to change. 😭

Anyway, I don’t have many people I can talk to about birds yet lol so I’m reaching out here. Thank you!
