Budget home theatre
Need some input or direction on my theatre setup. I have an older pioneer amp and entry level Polk towers and centre, the matching sub is in my upstairs as the upstairs sub is broken (low vol and crackly). I have a set of paradigm cinema satellite speaker and a pair of infinity primus 140 bookshelf speakers I got from the thrift store (mint condition) and I have a pair of elan 3 ceiling speakers I got for free. I decided to mount the ceiling speakers and now have to run the wire, I know it’s gna be hard to get down the back wall so I’m planning on cutting two 16”x60” sections out of the drywall then running the wires then put back and re paint.
So wondering if while I’ve got the wall open I should put in blocking and wires for wall mounted speakers beside the tv? Can I incorporate my bookshelf speakers and satellites In any meaningful way? Also I’m currently running a separate tv and KEF architectural speaker in my workout room off the same amp and it uses the rear surrounds for the other room, is there a way to have a 5.1 setup in one room and still run a separate room simultaneously?
