[HOPIUM] Why the Steam Controller 2 is dropping THIS WEEK (and why HLX might actually say hi)

The stars are finally aligning and I’m calling it: the Steam Controller 2 is landing in the next 48 hours. Stop the "Valve Time" memes for a second and look at the actual data:

  • The 13-Ton Shipment: On April 13th, 13,000kg of "Wireless PC Controllers" officially arrived in the US. Valve isn't paying massive warehouse fees just to sit on them. They are ready to ship.
  • The SteamDB Leak: This Monday, an official steam_controller_unboxing_2026 video entry appeared on SteamDB. The marketing assets are already being staged on their servers.
  • Decoupled from the Console: We know RAM prices are messing with the Steam Machine launch, but a controller doesn't care about that. There’s zero reason for Valve to hold back the hardware they already have in stock.
  • The Shadow Drop: Valve loves their random Thursday 10 AM PT reveals. They don't need a festival or a stage to break the internet—they just need a "Buy Now" button and a teaser.

If HLX (Half-Life 3) is coming, it’s coming with this. My wallet is ready. What do you guys think? Is tomorrow the day?
