I had the Toupet Fundoplication surgery on April 8th. At first, everything was great. The day I came home from the hospital, I had some chicken broth and I had no problem swallowing. I coughed that evening for the first time after surgery and then everything changed. The sour taste in my mouth, which I was so relieved to have gotten rid of is back, full force. I have now started coughing like before, but not as often. Did my surgery fail? 😞
