Running for City Council - District 5
Hi everyone! My name is Jozef Maldonado. I’m a chemist and currently serve as a Fullerton Parks and Recreation Commissioner, and I’m running for City Council District 5. I’ve been endorsed by Councilman Ahmad Zahra, Councilwoman Shana Charles, Buena Park mayor Connor Traut, and many other community members.
As a scientist, my professional training has been about analyzing data, working collaboratively, and finding practical solutions to complex challenges. At a time when many people feel frustrated with politics and division, I believe local government works best when decisions are guided by evidence and focused on results for residents.
My campaign is focused on clear priorities for Fullerton:
• Strengthening public safety and safer neighborhoods
• Repairing roads and improving traffic safety
• Keeping our parks clean, accessible, and welcoming
• Revitalizing downtown while supporting small businesses and local jobs
