I understand people want to write what they want to write, I am not judging them, I am here to understand why do they that.

why does it have to be his and not just a side affect of voldemort's soul in him?

why do many writers make lily some descendant of the gaunt family?

seems really weird.

like do they want him to be this special little child, who gets everything handed to him and who the world hates for the perceived evilness of that ability, just so they can feel connected to him or live through him? so they can feel their hero fantasy?

why can't they let lily just be some muggleborn and harry be some half blood, whose life got fucked by chance?
