Hello everyone, can you please identify the problem in this circuit my friend (he's an exchange student) built as a project for the class?

He said it should light a small light bulb at the output when an alarm on the watch goes off., but only the LED light's up. He showed me the light bulb and the glass bulb was cracked, so I told him that this is probably the problem. He insisted that it's fine and that it's a special type of light bulb and as long the filament is not broken it will work as should. He also mentioned that it's enough for it to work only single time.

He also told me that I should stay at home when he will be showing off the project at school but I don't know what's that all about.

Any help appreciated.
