Which has better buttons/reliability? Sapphire vs Victrix KO

Let’s pretend price is not a factor here, pretend they’re the same.

I have the sapphire and I already returned one through Amazon because when back dashing in Tekken I noticed the movement button would start to creak/give resistance to me pushing the button down causing a dropped input as if the button was stuck.

Happened with BOTH controllers.

So I’m under the impression Qanba Sapphire has terrible build quality. The > button legit breaks after 5 minutes.

I’m about to just return it all together and get something else. Heard the KO buttons have problems too… but does it WORK?

Yeah, before I get into preferences where can I get a damn leverless that WORKS?

Question for those who own the Qanba Sapphire

Hi I’m new to leverless and have been using the sapphire the past 2 days.

I really like it, however, sometimes I feel like the right directional button gets “stuck”?

It’s really hard to explain, but it’s impossible to ignore, quite jarring. Basically, I’ll be dashing (hitting back/forward input twice) and sometimes I’ll feel the button start to have a lot of resistance and make a squeaking noise, as if there’s something caught in the switch.

It’s super obnoxious and it’s like the button sticks. I returned one and got a new one, same exact issue.

Anyways, just leveraging my options. Love the controller, but I swear to god there’s a QC issue with the right arrow button and I’m not returning it a 2nd time.

Questions:

Is this normal and goes away after breaking in the controller?

Would modding the controller fix it? I never modded a stick so I wouldn’t be experienced. I could always try getting new switches and buttons, though.

Would I be better off just returning it and getting something like the Victrix Pro KO?

Idk, the build quality just seems like dogwater if one of the buttons are getting rough and squeaking just from me actuating it.

Just started using Qanba Sapphire - buttons feel off, does it need to be broken in?

Just got this, my first leverless. I question if it registers my input when doing something like a dash forward in Tekken. Instead, I’ll just walk forward and not dash. Buttons are definitely mushy and not clicky, which I honestly don’t mind, but I’m now wondering if it’s causing me issues.

I noticed that the right directional button sort of gets “sticky” at times when repeatedly pressing it (chaining dashes in Tekken) and it will make a squeaking noise - I can feel the button have some friction too, like its not completely flush in the switch or something.

Anyway, I returned the first one to Amazon, the replacement has the same exact issue.

Is this just normal and will go away after a bit of use? I’ve only been using it for a day, but still is concerning.

I know I could always replace/mod it, but I’m brand new to leverless so.
