I’m removing an existing skylight that is about 31” x 31”. I’d like to restore the structure to be able to reinstate the clay tile roof above. All rafters are 2x6. The current skylight interrupts one rafter and the original builders in 1988 installed a header on either side. I would like to do Option A or Option B but would like a second opinion to see if I’m on the right track. Please see 2nd picture for existing and proposed options.

I will use Simpson Strong Tie hangers with 1.5” and 2.5” SD screws as required but I can’t seem to find one that lets me do Option A, would Option B be okay?
