picking between cross admission in stem. in a nutshell: heart says Yale (resco experience plus support/opportunities seem extensive with less competition), brain says Stanford (well-rounded across departments, seen as superior all around).

• interdisciplinary interests despite stem focus including lit + arts, morality and philosophy, responsible/solution-oriented innovation
• value good balance of theoretical discussion and hands on learning. also value mentorship, peer relationships, ease of networking + being supported, etc.
• open to exploring other stem majors like environment-related stuff (earth/enviro science, etc.)
• as of now don’t care much for pursuing startups and big companies or go go go culture. want a platform for meaningful research or career that hopefully does something beneficial
