Sigma 30mm 2.8 (used) vs Viltrox 35mm 1.7

Hello! Help me decide on my first lens! The Sigma is used, can check it in person and Viltrox is new but delivery is one month. Both go for the same price. What would you choose and why? I mostly do street photo. Found out that I mostly use the kit lens at about 30mm so looking for the prime of that focus range.

Thank you for replies!

Think of a tracks by Sasha, BT, where the track itself is like 10+ minutes and the intro is 2-4 minutes where is absolutely no rhythmic parts in it. So the obvious answer is to beatmatch from where the drums start. Or (harder) from where the hihats start. It might be hard to find the cue point in the middle of the record if you need to start over but with experience that is doable.

But how to mix /introduce those tracks? I can play from the beginning of the record but how do you know the track starts at one? Also how do you know if there’s no missed part of the phrases (the drop is earlier than it should be)?

I have many such records but struggling to mix them so I usually avoid them and go for a remix that starts with clear drums.

Is ripping and looking at waveforms is the only answer? Or should I just experiment and count phrases?

Thanks for answers!
