Rhyolite?… Found on the fall line in the southeast along with other igneous rocks, chert, and perhaps a quartz seam or vein. There are artifacts (scrapers, flakes) that are made from this also. It’s fairly glassy and very fine matrix.

It’s fairly glassy and very fine matrix. The colors I found them in are cranberry colored, lavender, grey, and taupe.
