Hi to this sub from Babykins, 17
This is Babykins aka B.K. aka Beekers. When we got her she was a kitten in a “please adopt me” cage in the lobby of my vet. She’s just turning 17 now, is mostly blind, on blood pressure med, teeny renal concern we’re keeping an eye on but otherwise vet is pleased with her health. She gets monthly Solensia injections. Her life has slowed down as she’s aged but we’ve made accommodations and she’s happy and purring.
She likes to be held like a teddy bear when sleeping but only by me. She doesn’t care for the three other cats in the family but just keeps her distance. The dogs treat her like royalty and stop to let her pass (she was quite spicy when younger and I think they’re kind of scared of her 😆).
I’ve never had a cat live past 14 so this is new territory for me. I love her and want to make her senior life wonderful. She’s lying at my side as I type this.
