Vintage singer troubleshooting

Hello there! I had the honor to inherite my grandmother's singer panoramic 650G. I had it serviced at a singer atelier (and it was expensive, they changed the tension button and "cleaned" it) and she's sewing relatively fine but she seems very weak whenever I'm trying to pass a bump.

I'm sewing a pair of shorts and I'm only topstitching with it so obviously there's thick layers and the noise she makes when she struggles is akin to something metallic rubbing on something metallic, that's also the feeling it gives, like she's struggling to completely rotate but I don't see anything stuck. They're supposed to have cleaned it but she's still pretty gunky, they have oiled it as well. I don't know if I can correct the problem myself or if I should just call them back and ask/complain. Ideally I'd love to be able to service her myself because she's precious to me but I've never done that. Does anyone has any idea or help?

Thank you!

Spices!

Hello there!

I've been making ice creams for a year now and recently bought a gelato recipe book to complete my collection. My favorite flavor is probably honey and lavender ice cream but I also really enjoy violette and orange blossom. That got me wondering about the use of spices like cardamom for example; I was thinking about trying rose and cardamom gelato (whenever I receive my inulin) but I don't know who could help me veto or refine my ideas, that's where reddit enters.

Do you have flavor combinations ideas or already tried some? I was thinking of tonka and chocolate and/or coffee or cardamom and orange blossom (can you tell I like cardamom?). I'd really like to use cinnamon because I have some precious ones but I don't know what I could use it with apart from apple as I'm not a fan. Anyways, I flared my post discussion but can modify it if it's not the more appropriate one!
