Doric spoken by Athenians in Aristophanes
In Lysistrata, line 105-6 is spoken by the Athenian woman Lampito but contains many Dorisms like γα, ἔλσῃ, and ποκά:
ὁ δ᾽ ἐμός γα καἴ κ᾽ ἐκ τᾶς ταγᾶς ἔλσῃ ποκά, πορπακισάμενος φροῦδος ἀμπτάμενος ἔβα.
What would be the reason for this? It’s not as though these women are a part of the chorus, as far as I know.
