Does tree pollen biologically trigger other species of plants to bloom?
Hi, I was hiking yesterday in Portland, OR and we are currently experiencing our yearly mega pollen event where everything is covered in fine yellow powder. I had the thought that tree pollen, would be an amazing mechanic to signal to much less hearty plants, that spring time is a “go.”
Is this a thing? Seems like it would be such a powerful chemical signal in the timing of plant growth. TIA!
