Are you lonely too? First year and made so many new friends but feel so left out
First year engineering student and i feel so damn lonely :(
Joined clubs, went to events, networked, made so so many new friends but none of them feel like a friend to me. It's like everyone else already has close friendships and I feel so isolated. I wish I could restart from O week again.
I have always looked forward to having a friend group in uni. Meeting and talking to new people is easy, but i have yet to have a friend i can talk to casually or hangout with after uni and i feel empty with how surface level most of my interactions are. It's gotten to a point where it's starting to bother me
I do reach out to some people after befriending, but everyone is so busy, or they're already close with their friend group so they're straight up uninterested. I'm confused if something is up with me, i could make friends easily in high school but in uni? It's so different...
Please tell me I'm not the only one feeling like this too.
