I called US Mobile in regards to a issue of my MMS not working.
My phone has a custom ROM and the IMEI was changed.

I did the dumbphone finder and the one that stood out to me over all the other options was the TIQ Mini M5 but I don't see much info on it. The stuff I do see generally says its cheap and can overheat but I also saw that the company worked on it a bit and the new ones have been improved upon.
I'm am pretty set ln jt as it has my priorities but I would still consider another option. I would like to stick to around $200. My priorities are text, maps and Spotify. I am also limited to AT&T as a carrier. Dumbphone finder

I’m looking at purchasing the phone and I keep seeing a plethora of options/websites to buy from. Newegg has it listed for $180 with the vendor showing as TIQ, but others have it for $280-300 (Amazon, PrimephonesUSA, eBay). What’s the most reliable source? I’m based in the US as well, if that helps.

It’s a TIQ phone that I turned into a kosher-style device — meaning it’s designed to give access to a limited, controlled set of apps instead of being a fully open smartphone.
The way I built it is very customizable so it can work for different types of users, but the main focus when creating it was for the Jewish community. Because of that, the app selection and setup are based heavily around real-world needs in that space.
There was also a significant amount of investment that went into building specific filtered versions of apps. For example, WhatsApp on this device is modified to remove things like statuses and public channels to reduce distractions, and Google Maps is filtered to remove images.

Hi all! Has anyone here successfully rooted the tiq mini m5? I’ve made it as far as unlocking the bootloader via mtkclient before getting the “dm verity corruption” error on booting, and the power button doesn’t respond to let me continue to boot. I’ve tried a few fixes in fastboot that have worked for others to no avail. Would love to talk through anyone else’s experience rooting this phone and see if I can get somewhere!
My main reason for wanting to root this phone is that out of the box, it doesn’t pass any play integrity checks which I’d really like to fix so I can use RCS messaging. It registers as “rooted” out of the box, so I’ve been trying the perhaps silly fix of rooting it so I can install a play integrity fix module.

Edit: If anyone stumbles on this looking to do the same thing, I was not able to find a way that worked to root this phone. I tried pretty much every fix for the "dm verity corruption" error (various fastboot commands, mtkclient commands, trying to flash a patched vbmeta.img) and was not able to fix that error. Since the power button doesn't register when the phone is booting, I'm not able to click to get past the 5 second warning. I ultimately fixed it by reflashing the original firmware using sp flash tool, but couldn't find any way to have bootloader unlocked without getting the error that I couldn't click past.
