My "Frankenstein" Budget Rig

I'm playing my Cort S400 with a Fleor Hotrail wired in series with a single-coil pickup in the middle position. I have a switch positioned right before the output, wired in parallel with a 2.2 nF capacitor that acts as a low-cut filter.

I also have a 4.7 nF capacitor wired in parallel with a single coil. This should clean up some of the low and middle frequencies, but I think the capacitor value is a bit low. I may switch to 6.7 nF or even more.

The signal then goes into a Peavey Piranha whose preamp I use as a distortion pedal of sorts. From there, the signal goes into the input of a KMD GV100D with a G12H-100 inside. I'm using input because these old KMDs have a Fx-Loop sitting before the preamp, so I can't bypass it anyway. Since I don’t have many EQ options on the Piranha, I thought it would be better to use the KMD's EQ.

It's almost impossible to get a clean sound from this guitar, but that doesn't bother me. The overall sound is meaty and very bass-heavy.

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on this rig!
