Have any of you LOST interest in high strangeness the older you got?

When I was younger, I was OBSESSED with cryptozoology, ufos, conspiracies, miracles and ancient advanced civilizations... now that I'm older, I'm starting to lose that passion. Anyone else relate?

Visiting China or the US, I need help deciding

I live in Spain and have always been interested in visiting these two countries, however I only have money to visit one for the foreseeable future (probably won’t travel outside of Europe again for the next 10 years) - which of these two countries would you recommend I visit? I’m interested in food, museums, paranormal stuff, ruins, photography (landscape, wildlife, street) and doing outside sports like skydiving, scuba diving, hiking, etc. I know both countries are big, so I plan to travel for a good 20-30 days.
