Update to Constantly Clogged Nozzle

Just wanted to give an update from my post the other day in case anyone else is looking for a solution. My nozzle on tool head 2 was having consistent issues with clogging, and specially on lower layer heights. Turns out it was just a faulty nozzle from the factory and switching out the hot end with the included spare was a pretty straight forward fix. I’m now on to printing in full spectrum till my heart is content.

Constant Clogging

Constant Clogging

I’ve been running my U1 for about 10 days now. The printer itself is amazing as we all pretty much know at this point; however, I keep running into the same problem over and over and it’s getting to the point that it’s killing the experience. If I print anything with layer height less than .2, my #2 tool head always clogs. Without fail. It can print .20 without issue, but as soon as I try something at .12 or .08 (which I’ve been playing with for full spectrum stuff), the print will fail. It always starts out fine and it doesn’t always fail at the same point, but it does always fail. I’ve been able to unclog the nozzle with the included needle, flushing at high temps, and even did a couple cold pulls. This works temporarily. .2 layer heights work fine, but nothing finer.

Has anyone else experienced something like this? I’m familiar with clearing clogs. Im not new to printing or trouble shooting thanks to many, many years with Creality products. I guess I’m posting here in case there’s something obvious I’m overlooking or there’s something machine specific I should be aware of.

Thanks!
