Anyone experienced a hiring process freezing after internal recruiter changes?

I had an interview in January with a global talent recruiter for a creative role. She gave very positive feedback on my portfolio and said she wanted to share it with the creative design team. The conversation felt genuinely encouraging, so I was optimistic about the next steps.

A few weeks later, after no updates, I followed up by email. She replied immediately and mentioned that the next day would be her last at Nike. She also said she had passed my application over to a colleague.

I then reached out to that colleague. He responded, but in a pretty vague way, and since then the process feels stalled.

It’s now May, and I’m still unsure whether the process is actually ongoing or simply inactive. I’ve followed up several times and even met members of the team during Milano Design Week (I flew there especially for this so I really did my best), but I still feel stuck in limbo.

Has anyone here in a creative hiring process experienced something similar?
Also, I’m not an American citizen.
