The 100ml container rule is so stupid
Empty containers larger than 100ml are allowed, so if I really wanted the explode the entire airport or nuke the sky, I could simply bring several magically explosive liquids in several 100ml containers, then combine them all in a 2L empty container after passing security to make the ultimate nuclear bomb.
It's just stupid.
You say, "No you're the stupid one, do you really think security wouldn't detect bomb ingredients in 100ml containers?"
To which I reply, if they can detect them in 100ml containers, why can't they detect them in 1000ml containers?
Just let granny bring her granddaughter the 500g jar of alpine strawberry jam and stop the uncle with an empty 2L bottle and a few 100ml bottles of suspicious chocolate-flavored triacetone triperoxide that the scanner flagged.
