Looking for a J-pop boy band music video from around the 2010s
Hi, I’ve already posted in another group without success, so I’m turning to you for help in finding this song I’ve been desperately searching for for months—even though I haven’t listened to it in years. Some details might not be accurate since these are distant memories.
Also, it’s likely that it’s been taken down and that the group wasn’t very well-known.
The name of the group or the song was almost certainly written in Japanese.
It’s a J-pop music video set entirely on a beach, with a very cheerful, summery, vacancies, “love-in-love” vibe, featuring a boy band of 5–6 members at most.
The video was probably released around 2010 (give or take a few years; I think I listened to it around 2012). The quality is probably pretty poor by today’s standards.
The singers had hairstyles that were pretty typical of those years in Japan, and they were almost certainly wearing colorful beachwear (shirts, shorts, flip-flops...).
The music video starts with a bird’s-eye view of a beach (like an island, but not too far away) in the summer, with the song title or band name appearing, followed by a forward tracking shot that leads to the singers, who are lined up for their choreography or sunbathing on lounge chairs (it’s a bit fuzzy in my mind). It seems to me that the music doesn’t start until after the title has appeared!
The song continues; I remember that at one point, one of the guys is singing inside a wooden hut—like a beach bar—that you often see on beaches. Another guy sticks his head through a sort of "window" (without glass) and takes over singing.
Throughout the entire music video, there are only the singers and no other people (not even any girls!), and it takes place entirely at the beach during the day, with no change in time of day.
The song is pop, not rock, and is sung entirely in Japanese (though there might be some English words). Unfortunately, I don’t remember the melody. The lyrics were probably pretty innocent, about “love” and nothing provocative.
I wouldn’t recognize this group if I heard another one of their songs or saw their photos. But to give you an idea, it sounds like the same kind of music as the group Arashi—I’m thinking of the song “Happiness,” especially because they have the same hairstyle. Just to clarify, the music didn't sound exactly like that, but it had the same vibe.
