Wisdom

Please share some wisdom.

I currently work 38 hrs a week and make $80-85k a year. 4 weeks vacation.

I see my situation in such a way that to support my family I may have to work a bit more or find a job with some OT.

Please share some light. With bus operatior, I see people making more money.

Please can you break down something:

The base pay I see is approx $75k. So is it safe to assume, people making $150k are probably putting 15-20hrs a week of ot (55-60hrs per week total). To make that much?

Also how many hours do you work a day? Is it like a 12 hour window which will have your split shift hours and OT if available?

Jobe questions

Hi everyone.

I am thinking of applying. Please can you point out how flexible things can be for a new operator.

  1. For instance, my current job allows personal time off at any time for up to 3 to 5 days per year. (No proof needed to take this time off)

It also has unpaid time off for upto year if any immediate member needs intense care . (Proof needed to take this off)

I sometimes take 3 hours as personal time if I have any doctor's appointment or so and come back to my work.

Do we have something like this ? Or are benefits different?

2.How would split shift work. Is it all over the place or do you have a certain time frame in which it's broken up. How does overtime works. Example, do the allow any split and over time in a specific time window or it's like split shift , morning 10 to 2 then 9 to 1 pm and overtime may only be available after 1 pm?

Thank you in advance.
