OMC Custom Ring Doubts
Is this a good design?
**The Specs:**
• Stone: 2.13ct Elongated OMC (1.39 ratio) E/VVS2 IG: 710509495
• Setting: 14k Yellow Gold, 2.4mm cathedral tapered band.
• Details: Tulip head, trellis bridge, accent petals
**The Dilemma:**
I’ve been designing this custom tulip cathedral (Invoice/CAD attached). I love the side "architecture" and that a straight wedding band will sit perfectly flush.
**The Doubts:**
I saw a split shank (last photo) and now I’m second-guessing. I love how the "V" frames the elongated stone from the top, but I hate the wedding band gap
Is there a way to make the petals more subtle and natural looking?
**Questions:**
• Is the tulip head too "busy" for a 1.39 ratio cushion?
• Should I stick to the solitaire for the flush stack, or is the split shank look worth the pairing struggle?
• Does the current design look balanced, or am I overthinking?
Set on the diamond, just losing sleep over the silhouette. Thoughts?
