Things that changed in my life after reading Kafka's *The Metamorphosis*
I see myself as Gregor Samsa; constantly torn between whether I'll be considered insignificant if my family's needs aren't met, or whether I'll be valuable in their eyes if I can provide for them. I'm working hard to avoid the former and doing everything I can to get into the chemistry department I want. To be honest, I don't know if I'll succeed. I'll do my best; the rest is up to God.
