This sub may have saved my life today...
Went for a walk today and got caught up in an area they're doing some construction I was next to a major roadway so I couldn't use it to get to where I was going the only way I could go to get to my destination was to pass an excavator doing some work that was blocking the strip of grass where a sidewalk would normally go
I almost walked past the excavator without alerting the driver I tried whistling waving and even yelled a couple times he couldn't hear me and his partner couldn't either
I began feeling impatient and almost walked in-between the excavator and a brick wall running along the way
Before I made that silly decision I had flash backs of quite a few videos from this sub and the original sub of people being impatient and getting completely swamped by something whether it be a train or some other mechanical equipment
I immediately rethought my decision decided I didn't want anyone to learn from my experience the hard way also I didn't want to become red paste smeared to the wall
I then waited patiently until I was able to grab their attention and pass safely I don't think it would have pinned me to the wall but with one wrong step and wrong timing to at bucket definitely would have hit me
TLDR almost got smooshed then remembered things I'd seen on this sub and realized I wasn't in the rush I thought I was
