Reference stems???

Hey guys, so I'm trying to learn leveling and music production in general.. I have access to a whole lot of remix packs.. would it be a good idea to reference at what level each stem sits in terms of level, frequency etc or you have a better suggestion?

Getting a good drum mix?

Hey guys I try to get a good drum mix but more than often it doesn't sit right... I sidechain I go through samples.. but it doesn't sound as pro mixes.. one dead give away is when I turn up the master on a pro track I can turn it up pretty loud into the red before distortion vs when I turn up mine as soon as I hit a little above 0 db it's distorting.. it's hard to explain it but the sound sort of is unified in a way... Makes sense? How can I achieve this what am I doing wrong?

I dont understand letting go, please help.

I have read letting go by David hawkins and Sedona method and watched all the courses incl the 1992 one but still don't get it.

what is letting go? according to David hawkins it's just staying with the feeling and not doing anything about it.. just let it run it's course. but then comes Sedona method with questions that suggest you could just drop the feeling, lie getting rid of it in an instant???

please anyone who can give me a layman's-kindergarden version of it so I can understand and please with some practical examples.

really appreciate it.

kind regards
