will it be difficult for me to get a good bschool in the field of finance?

i've heard they take interviews after you give your cat and you get calls from iims or other colleges
how do u prepare for it?

im gonna give my 1st CAT attempt this year, so just wanted to know how tough or easy it is to crack IIM A, B, C and other top b-schools
what criterias affect your chances or boost your prep or chances of getting a good college?

p.s : i was from science till 12th, general, female, 70s in 10th and 12th.
would it be tough? pls reply :)
