Game balance is not the reason skins don’t sell.
I’ve been seeing between each of the character, main subs where I see a few posts of people saying balancing is the reason skin don’t sell and that’s false considering how squirrel girl, Iron Man even Scarlett witch are considered low tier but they be selling m skins like hot cakes. Even Miller in this tweet says that.
It’s simple y’all preach about wanting certain characters to get skins, but I’m going to ask each and every one of you are you actually going to buy that skin if they do produce it I mean, considering Hulk hasn’t gotten a new skin in a while and his last skin was the maestro skin. It should tell you didn’t sell well even though it was one of the most requested skins.
Even Emma sells skins despite the sub complaints that each skin looks ugly. But then some people are gonna throw the argument that a lot of these characters haven’t gotten a proper legendary that’ll you would actually want.
And that’s where your argument falls apart, cause you’re not gonna like it I mean look at the Adam skin they complained that I didn’t have recolors or VFX effects when originally legendary’s didn’t even have that yeah we weren’t complaining back then it’s only because the bar was raised. Do we complain that the old legendary’s are now low effort you need to stop moving the goal post
Let’s look at every single legendary skin that was released before the first recolors came in, before legendary only had different sound effects to them like an ult having noise or when he grabs you out out of the air and it plays a bell noise or Captain America infinity war is shield sounding different. Those were the most changes you would get.
As soon as VFX effects came in, y’all started moving the Goal post demanding every skin to be just like those skins when every legendary skin before, didn’t have that and sure they’re updating some of them. Hell there’s even some of you saying the legendary Hulk skin is terrible and I think it’s a well designed skin y’all have just grown so accustomed to having a bunch of extra stuff on your skin that anything that doesn’t have it is mediocre to you.
I’m gonna throw an example. Let’s say they decide to release a black widow, legendary. three different red colors. A different glasses or helmet. VFX and it’s not from a comic, but it’s an original design no inspiration from the comics would everyone here buy it? Would you look at the skin say it looks good and then buy it and then play widow?
It’s simply put if you want a character to get a legendary skin or skins, you should put more time into that character instead of not playing them and then hop on the rage train as soon as someone who actually plays the character and has the hours on that character wants a skin.
