There was very brief mention of the game Control last night. If by some miracle it is ever played on stream I just want this bit of info known.
Max Payne, Quantum Break, Alan Wake, and Control are all in the same universe and intertwined story wise. Max Payne is a character in novels written by Alan Wake, but in the Alan Wake games they had to change the name to Alex Casey for legal purposes. Quantum Break is the introduction for several characters that are in Alan Wake and Control, including the protagonist of Control, but again they had to change names for copyright reasons. Control has an Alan Wake based DLC that is necessary to play to understand how Alan Wake affected what happens in Control and where he is at in his story at that point in time. Also in control especially, a lot of the fascinating lore is done through reading papers you find, just think he should know that ahead of time if he ever does dive into these. You don't have to play them in release order to fully enjoy them. I played Control, then Alan Wake, then Quantum Break, then Alan Wake 2, and now I'm waiting for Control 2 with much anticipation. You don't have to play the Max Payne games, just have to know he's a character in Alan Wake's novels by a different name. The remedyverse is probably my favorite "verse" in existence, and I just had to get this tidbit out of me.
