Safety
Is anybody getting trained on lab safety? I was just hired for removable one day and have been working with materials for years with no PPE other than maybe some safety glasses (that I purchased myself). I just looked up some of the SDS sheets for the materials I’m working with and many are…incredibly dangerous🥴 some of them say hey, this could blow up at the slightest heat, also don’t get it on your skin or inhale it unless you want serious burns. Not to mention all the silica dust everywhere. I just want to know if this is the norm? Obviously it’s not fantastic but I’m wondering if other labs would take my safety more seriously
