[TP] Twilight Princess is awesome so far! (5 hours in)

I'm just really surprised at how good it is. I feel like this game isn't nearly as talked about as OOT or Majora's Mask, or hell even as some of the 2D games. I've completed BOTW and TOTK and decided to play through the rest of the Zelda series. I've played some of OOT about 3 years ago but not much. I kinda just felt like playing twilight princess cause it looked cool, even though maybe I should do release order.

I'm genuinely having a blast! I'm 5 hours in, just banished the twilight in Kakariko Village.

I guess I didn't love learning how to play; it kinda just felt off coming from BOTW and TOTK, specifically the controls. Also the tutorial section was pretty lengthy, as you had to do a couple of quests first as link then learn how wolf link works. I was feeling somewhat lukewarm as I entered the forest temple, then did most of it and it started clicking once I got the wind boomerang (I love how cool it is!). I took a break and found myself really wanting to come back and play more, and damn I haven't felt like this about a game in a while.

I feel I have a much better grip on the combat and controls. Learning it wasn't the most fun but it works. At first I was a little annoyed at how much midna was interrupting me, but then she backed off and actually let me play, and she's been a welcome companion on my journey thus far.

I also really love the story so far. It's a realllllllyyyyy nice contrast to how BOTW and TOTK did it. And the progression is fun and satisfying.

Genuinely feels perfect for me so far. The only gripe I have with it is that the camera is a little wonky, especially swithing through enemies. Oh well, otherwise it's genuinely a blast and I'm really excited to play more.

I could keep going, but these are just some of my main thoughts. I'm excited to go and play the rest after this!
