I need help with a gauge swatch
Im knitting this sweater for my niece but im having trouble figuring out what they mean in the gauge. Ive added a picture of what its suppose to look like.
Now, the gauge says “in main pattern” so i would assume that means the main body chart. But thats not 34 stitches wide. And how that chart is set up, it doesnt seem like i could do like 1.5 or so repeats of it cause of the cables. I also added a picture of the start of the pattern cause maybe theres something in there that is considered the “main pattern”.
I think this is my first like more advanced pattern cause usually it just tells me to do the swatch in garter or stockinette so im super confused.
I have searched through ravelry, searched the pattern online to see if there was maybe a reddit thread or something, and tried to find an email to send to the original creator but have yet to have any luck.
