Small chip in bathroom sink (renter) – worth fixing or just leave it?
Hi everyone,
I’m currently renting in Melbourne and accidentally dropped a cosmetic bottle in the bathroom sink a while ago. It caused a small chip, and over time it’s become more noticeable with a faint crack/scratch line.
I’ve tried looking up solutions online (porcelain repair kits, epoxy, etc.), but I honestly couldn’t find anything that seems reliably good. I’m also a bit worried that trying to fix it myself might actually make it look worse.
Just wondering if anyone here has had a similar experience?
Did you try to repair it yourself, and how did it turn out?
Did your agent/landlord notice it during inspection?
Did you end up losing part of your bond because of something like this?
Or does it tend to get worse over time if left as is?
Would really appreciate any advice or real experiences 🙏
Thanks!
