You got into nursing school with pre req retakes (3)?
I hope I’m putting this on the appropriate pages. Apologies if I am not, I am still getting used to Reddit and how it works.
Im not a science whizz, it definitely takes me some time to process things. But my senior year of college “just to see if I’d like it” I took A&P 1 + 2 and P/NC both courses (pass, no credit) so that way if I failed the classes my GPA wouldn’t take a hit. I was thinking about pursing nursing and figured A&P would be a good way to see if I could do it. I really enjoyed the class, the content, like loved it all but I started falling behind in the classes I actually needed to graduate so I stopped putting my all into A&P. Fast forward, I take them both again at a CC and A&P1= B , A&P2= C which I know is ugh especially seeing that sooo many people with straight As still get waitlisted/ rejected. I was thinking to give A&P 2 another shot to get an A (non negotiable with a 3rd take . I know it has to be an A); however, I’m a bit concerned because I realized a lot of programs have like a 2 retake limit and now that I typed this all out I’m wondering if my first time counts as a take or just my second time taking it count as a retake and then if i took it a 3rd time that would be my 2nd retake? I don’t know . What I do want to know is : has anyone gotten into nursing school (ideally non profit) after taking a pre req 3 times ? Should I try to apply with the C or take it again? Should I just give up ?
I feel like I’m just getting older and older and not making any progress and I really want to start a career . I want to do nursing LVN, RN I don’t care but if it’s just like not plausible then I need to put it on the back burner and try to get into something else. Sorry for the long post . Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. I’m in the DFW area for more context
