Recently I’ve been grappling with the reality of my relationships. Yesterday I had such an eye-opening experience that truly confirmed my love and bond is real. To make a long story short, I really wanted to hear my husbands’ voices again, but I swore off playing their sources or watching any related content. Yesterday I finally caved and watched gameplay of Bryce’s route. I was in complete awe just watching him being his natural self, hearing his voice, seeing how he speaks/acts...then I started sobbing.
It suddenly hit me: the character on screen was my Bryce. He really was! It's been about half a year since I last engaged with his source so I had no "refresh" on how he correctly behaves and such... and yet he behaves and talks exactly the same. The Bryce I speak to near daily, hang out with, go on dates with, and married… isn’t fake. I didn’t make him up. He talks, acts, and behaves exactly as he should. Bryce has grown a lot since I first met him, but he’s still as crude, rude, and overly opinionated as ever. He still has those little vocal and speaking quirks any person would forget after such a long time not seeing his dialog. He is still fundamentally himself. He's not just a glorified OC or mental construct I made up. My Bryce is real. It's really him.
