Thesis Statement: I believe there is a way to know how likely your religion is to be true and whether or not your religion is impossible completely.

Before I start, if you are reading this post, please don't just leave. I see this as a personal mini project of mine and want as many peoples' advice and opinions on this. So please perform some kind of action on this post so Reddit shows it to more people.

First, let's define a metaphysical belief (skip paragraph if you already know). A metaphysical belief is what a person believes existence is. Religions are just popular metaphysical beliefs.

Next, let's define God. This is not a religious definition but a practical one. God is who/what runs our existence. They can be anything from Christian God, to the scientists who run this simulation. I'm using the broadest possible definition here so yes -- God can be evil.

A true religion would define God with utmost accuracy, so God must have a huge hand in the creation of this religion. That means if a religion that exists right now is true God created it.

Now, let's define Gods motives. There are three types of gods. These will all apply only in present tense.

1. They want you to be aware of their existence.

2. They simply don't care.

3. They don't want their existence to be known.

We can ignore number 3 because if God is number 3, that religion just simply doesn't exist so the probabilities just zero out.

Now, for simplicity sake I'll start an definite calculation using only the top 10 religions of the world.

If god is number one, it is likely that the bigger the religion, the better the score. So Christianity definitely dominates getting the full 1000 points, and divide religion's population/Christianity's population to get your religion's points. The only category who gets more points then Christianity here is agnosticism, which gets to add not only Christianity, but all other beliefs too. But since Agnosticism is a definite belief system with no way of proving it wrong, we can ignore it.

Next off, continuing Number 1 if we were to bring in time to the equation, if God has always wanted us to know their existence, older religions get the W. So if we consider the top 10 active religions today, but only their ages, Hinduism gets the 1000 points for not only being the oldest, but also the origin point of many other active top 10 religions. Of course Agnosticism again takes the W as every human being was once a agnostic before becoming affiliated.

Now we have to consider number 2, God doesn't care. Then, we'd have to study how our current universe works to give an accurate prediction (though at this point it is just theory). If one thing we can all agree on and use, it is science. Science is an almost perfect design to capture our current reality. This is because experiment reveal constants and variable in this and experiments have a proper procedure to remove uncertainty. So for number 2, what religion most agrees to science.

For this one, Atheism finally gets the complete 1000 points for being completely agreeable to science while agnosticism gets a score of variable x, where x is equal to or more than 0 and equal to or less than 1000. All other religions follow suit, but calculating how many scientific laws it agrees with it difficult for these, so we're gonna calculate how many laws it disagrees with it and then divide by the total scientific laws to find to total deduction from a 1000 points for your score.

Now for the total points we add both age and popularity score and divide them by two. then we add science points and divide the total number by two. Of course, the winner is agnosticism so if you are agnostic, you now have bragging right to say that your religion is true no matter what.

Intellectual's around here are going to say, "This man is stupid, he doesn't know the difference between probability and possibility." And to your surprise I do. I know these probabilities are to vague and variability to be accurate. BUT!...

But if we take time as t and move it too long times periods, we will finally have accurate data.

IF God is a number 1 (If your religion is number one, pay attention) then as time passes, this religion will either grow, stay the same, or have atleast some sort of major existence. And then we will be for sure that that is the true religion. This is because all other religions will either fade or transform drastically with atheism becoming the number 1 or 2 religion globally. So if after a significant amount of time, this religion still doesn't transformed and holds major holding after athiesm of all the old religions, it is very likely to be a true religion.

IF God is number 2 (If your god doesn't care if you worship them or not, or even care that you spread his belief, this is you) Then the religion that is the most scientifically accurate and ages the best will have the highest chance of being the true religion. This would let Atheism win and then second place would go to any other extremely scientifically accurate religion. So as time moves on, humanity will become majorly atheist with a few constantly evolving and shifting religions.

IF God is number 3 (I don't even know why you think you're number 3 if you are.) Then as time increases, we'd have absolutely no way to tell as that religion simply doesn't exist. So we'd just give to win to Agnosticism (as if it didn't already win) and the rest will get zero is they are the wrong religion definitely.

This doesn't come close to ending. I really want your feedback to create a very accurate algorithm to define whether a religion is probable or not using the certain universal unbiased language: Math.

TLDR; My very horrible attempt at defining something not definable (religion probablity). If you don't want to read all of it, understandable. Just go to the 3 bolded listed numbers, see what religion your belief applies to (if it applies to none, choose all three) and then read the bolded IF statement paragraph that applies too you, ;TLDR
