Acest scenariu ipotetic utilizează actualele raioane ale Republicii Moldova în cadrul unei integrări administrative la nivel de județe în cazul unei posibile uniri cu România.

Orașul Tighina se află în prezent sub controlul autorităților transnistrene, însă recuperarea acestui oraș ar fi esențială pentru dezvoltarea acelei părți a țării din cauza lipsei de centre urbane majore în zonă și prin urmare a unui oraș cu rol de reședință de județ.

Județele Soroca și Orhei ar fi cele mai mici din noua țară unificată, fapt justificat de dimensiunea redusă a reședințelor de județ respective (Soroca și Orhei au ambele aproximativ 22.000 de locuitori, în comparație cu cea mai mică reședință de județ din prezent, Miercurea Ciuc, care are aproximativ 34.000 de locuitori). Aceste județe sunt similare cu cele care au existat deja în perioada interbelică.

Unele raioane ar putea fi integrate în actualele județe Iași, Vaslui și Galați.

Transnistria a fost exclusă din acest scenariu, cea mai simplă soluție pentru problema transnistreană fiind cedarea teritoriului către Ucraina, ceea ce ar "rezolva" problema trupelor rusești și ar elimina existența unui teritoriu cu o populație în mare parte ostilă față de București în cazul unei uniri.

Găgăuzia și raionul Taraclia ar putea fi integrate într-un singur județ (numit județul Găgăuzia sau Găgăuzia-Taraclia).

Cam așa ceva ar putea arăta o integrare a Republicii Moldova în sistemul administrativ-teritorial al României dacă s-ar realiza unirea.
