2025 Panigale V2 - first service blues…
Long story short…
Bought a new 2025 V2 on Thursday. Took it to dealership on Saturday afternoon for first service
Upon arrival they thought it might have a blown front fork seal due to excessive oil on and around the surrounding area. They were going to do the full service and then confirm the leak or not during/after the test ride.
However when they were doing the software updates that’s when SHTF - the bike would shift fine 1->6 but once it reached 6 it lost and erased its position and forgot all the previous gearing. So after countless hours and numerous technicians they told me the bike needed to stay with them so they could look at it more and contact Ducati - since they had never seen the shifting issue nor the leak (so early) on the redesigned V2.
My biggest issue is I flew out to SoCal to pick it up and had the intention on riding it back home. So I had to get a $150 uber back to my hotel, rent a car for the drive home, and will likely be spending another $1,000+ getting back out to SoCal to pick it up when it’s all said and done.
So I’m asking for any constructive thoughts about the main issues - has the community heard of this? Easy fixes? Thoughts or feedback on these experiences would be appreciated. Thanks!
Welcome to Ducati???? 😂
