Balancing travel and photography in Japan
Just got back from Japan and was looking through my perfect shots of Fushimi Inari. They look great, but I barely remember the actual experience. I spent so much time fiddling with my gear that I missed out on just being there.
The last day was different. I left the heavy camera bag behind and just wandered around with my phone and a couple of filters. It was such a relief, and I actually got to soak in the atmosphere without stressing over my gear.
Anyone else struggle with balancing being a traveler and a creator? Any tips on keeping the pack light but still capturing those moments? Would love to hear how others manage to enjoy the trip without feeling like a pack mule.
