AZGrowersGuild interest check

I'm putting together a small digital-first cultivation showcase called the AZ Gas Guild Secret Cup.

The idea is simple:

Invite-only. Flower-only. Blind judged. Limited grower slots.

Season 1 would be a controlled pilot built around grow documentation, taste, presentation, and clean competition. No public sales, trades, shipping talk, or anything sketchy. Just growers, judges, and community culture done the right way.

Looking to see who may be interested as a:

- Grower

- Judge

- Sponsor/support partner

This will be 21+ only and limited to a small group for the first run.

If you’d want to be considered, DM me.

Trust the signal. Low key, high taste.

You can dm me here or discord.

What’s the worst run you’ve had from bad genetics?

Curious what people here have actually dealt with.

Bad seeds, weak clones, unstable plants, herms, low yield, poor terps, stuff that looked good on paper but didn’t perform.

What happened, and how much time did it cost you?

Feels like everyone talks about the wins, but those bad runs can burn a full cycle, space, money, and effort.

I’ve been testing a small way to help filter out bad picks before committing a run. Not selling anything. Just trying to see if something like that would actually be useful.

Curious how people here approach this:

What actually holds more value long term:

• Hunting your own pheno from seed

• Or getting access to a proven breeder cut early

Not even talking hype. More about consistency, time, and end result.

Feels like everything keeps coming back to the breeder, but interested how you guys think about it.

I’ve been thinking about something and wanted to get real opinions from people who actually grow.

There’s a lot of talk about “rare cuts,” limited drops, exclusive genetics, etc.

But I’m curious how much that actually matters to growers vs just marketing.

Would you personally care about limited access to certain cultivars if they were done in small batches?

Or do you think most of that is just hype?

I’m testing this idea a bit on the side and trying to see if there’s real interest behind it.

If anyone wants to follow along or be part of what I’m testing, I can share the link.
