Little vent over

I called to get help with payments because I am in hardship and they said they could not help until I am defaulting. How is this right and legal? I am begging to pay just not as much and get some temporary help and relief.

Not sure what to do, the 20 is my deadline for the payment and I can't pay in full, I have paid what I can so far.
