Kraken filled my orders at prices far outside the displayed market price — any chance of reimbursement?
I’m trying to figure out whether Kraken executed my orders incorrectly or whether this is something others have experienced.
I placed multiple “set price” buy and sell orders on Kraken, including orders that executed immediately-which shouldn’t have.
In several cases, the executed buy price was far above what the coin/asset appeared to be trading at, and the executed sell price was far below what Kraken’s chart showed at the time.
The result was an almost immediate loss of around 20-30%, which makes me think there may have been a serious pricing or execution problem. I’m not talking about a small spread or normal volatility — I mean fills that looked completely inconsistent with the displayed market price.
I contacted support and was told the issue might have been an error and would be escalated, but I never got a real resolution: just AI agent BS.
