Department of Juvenile Justice Has No Record of My Incident
I am taking the Florida bar in July, and I have a shoplifting incident from when I was 16ish (I am now 35!). I don't remember what exact year it was and I don't have any records about it. I am barred in two other states, and have disclosed evrry time. That incident has just received a cursory glance and my C&F interviewers for both states kinda laughed at it. I contacted the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice (I grew up in Florida) to try to obtain my records when I was taking the bar exam for my first state, but they sent me back a letter saying they didn't have any records for me. I went through juvenile arbitration and diversion, so that may be why I don't have any records.
When I first started applying for Florida, I didn't anticipate any issues, because I hadn't had any issues for my other states, but seeing horror stories about Florida character and fitness, I'm nervous now that they're going to ask me for additional records that do not exist and that I'll be rejected. Any advice?
