Where to stay in Red River Gorge for climbers (Miguel’s vs others?)

Hey! Planning a Red River Gorge trip in June and trying to figure out the best place to stay.

Looking for something that’s:

  • Close to the main crags (less driving the better)
  • Clean bathrooms (not expecting luxury, just decent)
  • Easy access to food / basic supplies
  • Not a heavy party scene… more chill climber vibe

Miguel’s Pizza seems to come up everywhere. Is it actually a good fit for this kind of trip, or is it more chaotic / party-heavy?

Also curious about camping logistics:

  • Can you pre-book campsites anywhere in the Red, or is it mostly first-come-first-serve?
  • If it’s walk-up, how hard is it to get a tent spot in June?
  • Does it get overcrowded?

Would also love any specific campground recommendations (or ones to avoid).

Thanks!
