Gyro does have a younger version, the one that appears in the episode "Astro Boyd" as the disciple of Doctor Akita (the dog that appears in the first image). Headcanon: Akita adopted Gyro when he was a kid :3 (and OMG, I love this version of Gyro so much, I want to hug and kiss him and tell him that everything will be alright, and not to worry <333) Children's versions count too~
