Ex libris for myself

Ex libris for myself

I just remembered that I haven't posted this here, it being so postable, I thought I might still rectifiy that oversight. Most of you will already have seen it on the discord, but for those of you that haven't, here you go!

The ornament is of wood anemones, my favourite flower. The troll acts both as a supporter and stikingly accurate self portrait. The arms above my own are those of Bavaria and Dalsland, and the text below is in my own writing system (in case any of you thought you've spontaneously developed dyslexia)

Ink hatching did most of the work, but I cheated a bit by helping the shading with a gray alcohol marker.

Now I only have to get it scanned and printed!

Some heraldry recently made for a commission

Here's a coat of arms I made for a commission about a month ago but didn't post. I chose that shape of mantling to hopefully go with the chequer, and had I planned it well, it actually would've looked like one. But a braid is still cool... right?

Either way, it was a delight to draw:)

Here's a relatively recent emblazon I did, with a helmet which I've never drawn before, in a sort of metal colour which I hadn't tried before. But for being experimental it's Ok [art], and it goes well with the biblically accurate wings.

Oh and for the mantling, The semé of eyes on the escutcheon is supposed to remind one of the trunk of a birch-tree, and so the mantling must follow suit.
