Apartment recommendations needed
I know there are tons of post regarding this but my decision paralysis is on hyper drive reading google maps and yelp reviews.
I’m moving from Seattle so I’m spoiled by the apartments and great rent.
I’m looking for 1B1B and my requirements are:
- No noise issue, preferably newer buildings with concrete flooring. I saw all across and got to know old buildings have wooden floors and have added carpet to reduce noise, I’m not into that. Need concrete floors since I will work from home 2-3 days a week.
- In unit washer/dryer. I think most of the places above 3k have this. But still putting out there for a must have.
- No bugs !! A lot of the reviews complain about roaches and rats. Please no!!
- Safety. What is going on in bay area!? The amount of car theft and mail theft complaints are crazy. So need a place with gated car park and mail box inside a gate.
- A/C. Do need an A/C, preferably central A/C. But if that is going to come back and bit me in the … for rent, I would not mind buying a portable A/C.
- A good closet space. More than for cloths I have a lot of boxes and stuff for which needs a place. Most of the floor plan barely has a closet, let alone a storage space.
Would love to hear from current residents of apartments around to get feedback on the place.
At this point relying on google and yelp review is not fruitful, people only come to complain or post a forced review by the maintenance team to boost up the rating.
